ACTIVITIES

The activities of this organization are extremely serious yet vastly rewarding. Specializing in the design and fabrication of Solid Propellant Rocket Motors, Appropriate Launch Vehicles, Applicable Electronics, Testing Equipment and Ground Support the members are dedicated to the search for knowledge as recreation with safety foremost at all times.

MEETING 

The 2011 National Members Meeting will be held on October 1st,2011, in Gerlach, Nevada. This will be during the BALLS 20 event and give members a good chance to unite in person for business and socializing.


LAUNCHES

BALLS 20

 

 

On schedule for completing the 2011 season is the launch called BALLS 20. This is the premier Amateur & Experimental launch of the world. NASSA members will be in attendance with other friends of the desert. The launch will offer us three days of experimental activities with high altitude FAA waivers, great socializing and the chance to obtain new technologies from around the country.

ACTIVITIES

MOTOR
TESTING
FESTIVAL

In 2011 NASSA will hold a Motor Testing Festival in Pennsylvania. As part of their program to standardize Resarch Motor Informatiom NASSA will complete characterization of their new formulas and also characterize over 25 popular propellants floating around the internet. It is hoped this program will provide a positive source of real propellant data to all of the Research Rocketry Community.
