MEMBERSHIP

Membership in this organization shall be limited to enthusiasts pursuing Amateur & Experimental Rocketry activities and willing to operate within a closed circle of dedicated participation.

All members are bound to non-disclosure of organizational activities until such time said activities are slated for public disclosure and announcement.

Members are committed to attend at least one launch per year with the group. A specific launch shall be designated by the membership as the official Annual Launch for the organization. This Annual Launch is hoped to be attended by all of the membership if at all possible.

Applicants for Membership must attend at least two Membership Meetings, complete the required Membership Application and be approved by the existing membership. Once approved as a member of the organization commitment to meetings and group activities is required.

The best way to become a member is to meet all existing members who will attend various launches around the country. Two launches most members will attend is the annual BALLS launch at Black Rock, Nevada and Tripoli's annual LDRS launch located in different locations each year. A pre-existing activity in Amateur & Experimental rocketry is a plus, though not a requirement. Asset and/or talent is favorable: what can you offer the group? Most of all is a sincere desire to participate and contribute to the cause and goals of the organization and other members.

Members look at what you can bring to the organization, and group compatibility. In the past several people have been brought into the group only to find their intention purely personal. No single person is in the group for personal profit. The desire to assist others to achieve is most appreciated.

Compatibility with the other members is important. Failure to participate, lack of interest or acts detrimental to the purpose, cause, goals and safety of the organization and its members will not be tolerated.

The members of NASSA do not consider themselves to be any better than anyone else and will gladly offer goodwill assistance to anyone, whether in the organization or not, when asked. NASSA, while a closed membership, is not an elite or superior organization. We just want to pursue our common interests while having fun, getting along with each other and being safe.
