ROLL CALCULATOR

A handy little on-line tool to calculate the length of material required to wrap a given tube dimension. Calculations involving Roll or Coil Diameters are fairly involved. This tool will calculate various results when given any three of the four requested values. The missing value will be calculated for you.

For example you wish to make a fiberglass tube with a 3" OD and you want a 2.75" ID. The material you are wrapping with is .024" thick. This will show you would need 4 feet of material to achieve this size.

OR you have 4 feet of material, .024" thick, and you are wrapping a 2.75" mandrel. This will show you a finished OD of 3".

Of course with all things, variables will enter in such as saturation and compression but as a general tool this should provide true working data.
