SPECIAL
PROJECTS

|
Eric
Haberman stands next to his personal rocket project, the Bell
X-1 Glamorous Glennis. As then Owner of DynaCom, Eric has built many
special projects for others around the country. Feeling it time
to do something for himself he chose a challenging project.
Finding
his standard 5 caliber nose cone fit the dimensions of the X-1's
main body all he needed to do was create a special fiberglass
wound stubby nosecone for the front and the rest would be easy
- sure!!
After several months of
research and en-gineer (things aren't as easy as they look!)
Eric fabricated a work of art in fiberglass that demonstrates
his attention to detail and quality.
The Glamorous Glennis is
capable of powered flight and to prove it Eric renewed his Level
1 certification with a near perfect flight (shown below) on
October 26th at Tripoli Pittburgh's DRAGON'S
FIRE 28 launch.
The Glamorous
Glennis is not in the DynaCom stable of kits. Eric states he
feels the kit is too complex and hereditarily unstable for just
anyone to fly.
Clicking
on the photos will present larger versions for better examination!
Makes you want to have one - huh?
As stated the Glamorous Glennis actually flew - once. Eric immediately
retired it. Below are two photos as Eric prepped for launch, and the second is the actual lift off for Level
I certification.
