Tripoli Pittsburgh is founded on the leading edge of Non-Professional Rocketry of all types. Membership in Tripoli Pittsburgh is open to any and all persons interested in Advanced High Power and Research Rocketry. Members must be at least 18 years of age and membership is divided into two categories.
• MEMBERSHIP - Full Membership, with full privileges in Tripoli Pittsburgh, shall be open to any and all serious minded rocket enthusiasts, 18 years of age, or older, and holding a National Tripoli membership and number.
Full Members hold full voting privileges on all matters regarding Tripoli Pittsburgh both on a local and national level. They can participate in Class B Rocketry activities based on their certification level and they may participate in Research Rocketry activities, again based on their certification level.
An Associate Membership is open, under Full Member's requirements, to those persons not holding a National Tripoli membership and while they will have full privileges to the local environment of Tripoli Pittsburgh they will have no vote on matters of a national level, nor will they be able to hold a position on the Tripoli Pittsburgh Executive Committee. Associate Member's flying activities shall be limited to Class C Rockets using motors up to and including G Class only, unless they hold a motor certification from an organization recognized by The Tripoli Rocketry Association, Inc. Associate Members will not be permitted to participate in Research Rocket activities no matter what certification they hold from another organization.
All members of Tripoli Pittsburgh will conform to and conduct all Rocket Activities in compliance with the Codes, Standards, Safety and Procedures set by The Tripoli Rocketry Association, Inc. and any higher State and/or Federal agency having jurisdiction.
Each member will receive a membership card, which will entitle the member to a reduced flyer's fee rate of $10 per day ($15 for 2 days) per flyer, or family, at our scheduled club launch events (non-member fee is $15 per day, $20 for 2 days). Additionally, each member will receive one "no-flyer's fee" voucher which can be used to fly free at one of our events.
• DUES - are based on a yearly fee of $20. This is the same for ALL memberships within Tripoli Pittsburgh. If you have multiple rocketeers in the same household, all such flyers can become Tripoli Pittsburgh members for the same single-member rate of $20. As long as the main person is joining as a Full or Associate member. Only one "no-flyer's fee" voucher will be issued per family.
• JOINING - Tripoli Pittsburgh is a simple process and there are several ways of doing it. First is at any meeting or launch. Simply fill out an application and pay the required dues. The second is by down loading an application HERE, fill it out and mail it to the us at the address provided. The third method of joining us is through PayPal. You do not need a PayPal account using this method. Enter your National Tripoli Number, Accept the Agreement and click the PayPal PAY NOW button.
AGREEMENT
I hereby agree to hold Tripoli Pittsburgh, its officers and members harmless
to any results created by my actions participating in Prefecture activities.
I also agree to abide by all Safety Codes, both National and Local,
and to abide with all National requirements that maintain Tripoli
Pittsburgh as a Prefecture. I also agree to assist to the best of
my abilities with local launches and group activities and commit to
membership with all serious concern.
